Photography by Michael has a Certified Professional Photographer

We are excited not only about 2011 being our 20th year in business, but that Michael pursued and earned his Certified Professional Photographer certificate.  Cerified Professional status has only been achieved by 65 photographers in the State of Illinois and less than 2,000 nationwide.  The process requires passing a thorough written examination covering all areas of photography and submission of images for review by a panel of PPA professionals.

In the past several years we have seen a plethora of new photographers popping up who have little technical skill and provide an extremely marginal product. A digital camera and a web site do not qualify someone to masquerade as a professional photographer any more than a set of Craftsmen tools qualifies someone to repair your car.  This is very disconcerting to the profession as a whole.  We believe it is important to continue to separate our studio by maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and quality and the Certified Professional Photographer status certainly elevates our studio in that direction.

We are excited to share images from my good friend Adrianne's wedding at the Morton Arboretum.  Our studio had the chance to photograph her senior portraits and we were very excited to be able to share her wedding day with her as well.  You would never know how hot this day was and how bad storms delayed the start of our photography.
