OK, so did anyone else have a chance to check out the Waubonsie Girls Soccer game this past Monday against St. Charles North at Illinois Benedictine? What an exciting game. Of course, the WVHS girls prevailed 1-0, but it required overtime to get the job done. Major cudos go to the St. Charles North goalie who singlehandedly kept her team in the game. Shots on goal were ridiculously in favor of the vaunted Green and Gold ladies but it took about 49 minutes for one to squirt past their truly talented goalie.
I have to tout the incredible stop, spin and change in direction that Bri Rodriguez did, causing an unfortunate SCN defender's knee to buckle. It was soccer artistry at its best, but we do hope the young lady wasn't too badly injured.
We will be in attendance this weekend as the WVHS ladies go for a repeat. We hope to see you all there to cheer them on.
Well, with Bri Rodriguez, notably absent from today's line up, the lady Warriors were still able to overcome the team from Normal 1-0. Well, it is on to the finals tonight. Hopefully, my fingernails will grow back by tonight's game. Go lady Warriors!
May 31, 2008 Well, we here at PBM would like to personally thank the WVHS ladies for an incredible season. Wow, back to back state champs. The wife and I totally enjoyed the chamipionship tonight. We also can't wait for a 100% recovery and the return of Bri Rodgriguez next season. Job well done Lady Warriors. Is it too early to put the pressure on? Can you say 3-peat?

Interesting site, always a new topic .. good luck in the new 2011. Happy New Year!
