Photography by Michael takes fashion Naperville Senior Pictures to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

This past Sunday we had a fantastic opportunity to do some publicity work at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Chicago.  We  were able to coax one of our class of 2012 studio models Morgan to model for us.  She brought some kickin' outfits which were perfect for the Hard Rock Hotel motif.  Photographing in the hotel lobby was a photographer's dream challenge trying to combine the moody rock natural lighting with fashion poses.  I think we nailed it and Morgan did not disappoint.  We had so many incredible images to choose from.  Here is a sampling of Hard Rock Hotel Chicago fashion photography meets high school senior pictures.  Let us know what you think.

 

 

 

Photography by Michael has a Certified Professional Photographer

We are excited not only about 2011 being our 20th year in business, but that Michael pursued and earned his Certified Professional Photographer certificate.  Cerified Professional status has only been achieved by 65 photographers in the State of Illinois and less than 2,000 nationwide.  The process requires passing a thorough written examination covering all areas of photography and submission of images for review by a panel of PPA professionals.

In the past several years we have seen a plethora of new photographers popping up who have little technical skill and provide an extremely marginal product. A digital camera and a web site do not qualify someone to masquerade as a professional photographer any more than a set of Craftsmen tools qualifies someone to repair your car.  This is very disconcerting to the profession as a whole.  We believe it is important to continue to separate our studio by maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and quality and the Certified Professional Photographer status certainly elevates our studio in that direction.

We are excited to share images from my good friend Adrianne's wedding at the Morton Arboretum.  Our studio had the chance to photograph her senior portraits and we were very excited to be able to share her wedding day with her as well.  You would never know how hot this day was and how bad storms delayed the start of our photography.

Photography by Michael gets buried by last minute Naperville Senior Pictures.

Holy smokes, it appears that a whole bunch of 2010 high school seniors waited until the last minute to photograph for their senior pictures.  In our 20 years of doing this it was the biggest end of season rush we have ever seen.  And, it was fantastic.  The weather has cooperated nicely and the outdoor locations were all in great shape, including our favorite, the Naperville Riverwalk.  Here are a few from my friend Sarah, who was a blast to photograph and graduated from Naperville Central H.S.

First communion celebration is always an exciting event in a youngster's life.  This religious ceremony marks an important milestone in the Catholic faith and happens during spring, one of the most beautiful times of the year.  Steven did an excellent job of portraying the reverence and sincerity of this special occasion.  Here are a few of our favorites from his session.  We would love to have the opportunity to create a family heirloom of your little communicant.  Call 355-7440 to schedule a time.

Photography by Michael loves Neuqua Valley Poms State Champions!

Photography by Michael was lucky enough to celebrate the Neuqua Valley Varsity Poms IHSA State Championship with an incredibly fun photo session.  Our studio created senior pictures for a number of the varsity ladies so their championship was particularly rewarding for our studio.  We'd like to share a few of the fun composites we created for the ladies so they will never forget their incredible accomplishment.

 

Naperville senior pictures return to the outdoors!

The return of nice weather in the spring is always welcomed as it allows us to return outdoors for senior pictures in the Naperville area. Foliage is blooming and Mother Nature is showing us her infinite beauty. This is a great time of year and an exciting one for Photography by Michael as the Class of 2010 scrambles to get their last minute senior pictures done while the Class of 2011 is already calling to take advantage of the fantastic early season incentives we offer.  As we speak, our first post card to the class of 2011 is being readied and prepared for mailing.  It has a fantastic offer for May and June sessions so if you are looking to save some ducats, watch for it.
